Edy's Chicken & Steak Restaurant: A Peruvian Culinary Gem

I was there last night & got the whole chicken meal for takeout. It has been a long time since I've had chargrilled chicken this good. It was juicy, tasty, flavorful. The skin was just right. It came with 2 small side salads & a choice of 1 side, I went with the fries, they were crinkle cut & pretty dang good even after sitting in the bag on the ride home. I also got the plantains- freakin delicious, I recommend them. I also got the beans & rice, I was at first thinking them might be like redbeans & rice, but no. They were a whole lot better & tastier. The meal also came with a variety of sauces- I suggest using some of the green sauce on your beans & rice. This was my first time there, but it will not be my last. 5 stars out of 5 stars from. Added plus, the staff was very, very friendly, patient & helpful. I. Will. Be. Back. Side note- I got there around 9:30pm (they close at 10) they still had more than enough food left for the people coming in behind me. With me ordering & waiting for my food, it took no longer then 10 minutes max.

If you're from the DMV you know Edy's! I've been coming here since I was a little girl. It has gone through multiple owners but the food remains delicious. I still strongly believe they have the best yellow sauce on the area. Personally I go there for the chicken and the lucuma ice cream. I haven't ventured out to their Central American dishes but they look delicious. They got rid of their booths which is kind of a bummer but I guess it's able to accommodate bigger parties now. Since the place is surrounded by windows it's always fairly bright there. I like that I can see my parked car from the window. I have taken friends and family that come overseas from here and my family from Peru say the chicken is delicious. P.S I recommend getting the tubs of yellow sauce for bigger parties! 10/10, this place never misses! I am giving it 4 stars only because their bathrooms could be cleaner or at least maintained better.

What can I say excellent service super excellent service fast super fast. My daughter ordered seven plates. She got it in 15 minutes. Food is delicious fresh. What can I say? It's all that and a bag of chips. Oh my gosh leave it leave it.‼‼‼‼

Their menu offers a great variety, ensuring there's something for everyone's taste. However, I must mention one aspect that has slightly changed over time: the white sauce. It used to be thick and bursting with flavor, complementing the dishes perfectly. Unfortunately, recently it has become noticeably thinner in consistency, which has affected the overall experience. It would be wonderful if they could bring back the rich and creamy texture that made it so special. Despite this minor setback, I still give Edy's Chicken and Steak restaurant a solid 4 out of 5 stars. The quality of the food and the vibrant atmosphere of the place make it a must-visit for any fan of delicious chicken and steak dishes.

Came here for Sunday lunch to do a takeout. Ordered one whole chicken and side of salad and yuca. The order came out super quick. Not even five minutes and it was all packed into the bag for me to take out. The chicken was great, yuca had a nice golden color and the texture was good. It was mildly busy when I came in but they took the orders really quickly. There are many seating areas inside. Limited parking in front but more nearby. It's a brightly lit place and it is family friendly.

Welcome back! I've always referred to this place as "Sid's House of Meat" because I would always order their sampler plate. However, I stopped going there because they closed during the height of the pandemic and it would be weird for me to go when they were closed. Anyway, they've reopened and it's no longer weird and I went the other day. Instead of my usual, I ordered a steak and chicken combo and discovered a new favorite thing to have there. It's a tasty, heavily loaded hot sub with, in addition to the named meats, lots of veggies and cheese and a huge pickle wedge on the side. I added an order of fries and it was a very tasty and filling meal.
